First attempts at rice cereal

4 Month check-up and his first night in his own room!!!

Kanyon had his 4 month check up yesterday. He is doing great. He is 47% in his weight and 50% in head size and his height is still of the charts. He is 27 inches and his doctor said that he is in the height range of the 6 month olds! I was a little concerned about his weight gain because I have felt like he isn’t eating as much as he should but the doctor said he is doing well so that made me happy. We talked about him not sleeping through the night yet and the doctor told me I could start giving him rice cereal to get him nice a full before bed so he would sleep longer. He also told us that we should start putting him in his crib in his own room now so he can start getting use to that. He talked to us about letting him cry himself to sleep. So we stopped at the store on the way home and bought him some rice cereal. I am so mad that I didn’t take any pictures of him eating it for the first time but I’ll take some tonight. He didn’t like it at first and he kept spiting it out but he finally got use to it and ate it pretty good. Then I mentally and spiritually prepared myself to put him in his crib. I laid him down in his room and went and laid in my bed which is the next room over. I head a few goos and kicking around for about 5 minutes but then it went quite. I waited for a little bit and then went and checked on him and he was fast asleep!!!!! No crying for hours or anything. I am sure its not always going to happen like that but it was nice for a mommy to have his first night in his own room turn out like that. He didn’t sleep through the night he woke up twice for feedings but he went right back to sleep when I put him back in his crib after his feedings!!! I am the luckiest mom in the world to have such a sweet, good baby. I will put pictures of him eating his rice cereal on here tomorrow!

Halloween Party!

Kanyon hosted his first Halloween party last week. He invited all his cousins and his Uncle Brice.



They decorated there own Trick-or-Treat bags, frosted pumpkin shaped cookies and had a Halloween candy hunt. All the kids had so much fun. We cant wait to do it again next year!! But we did miss Kanyons cousins Eden and Texton hopefully they will get to come to the next halloween party!









As you can see Kanyon was a frog. I love his legs becuase they look like frog legs. But for Halloween he is going to be a Monkey so stay tuned for more cute costume pictures!!

Mission reuinon

Confrence weekend my mision held a missin reunion. I don't normaly go to them but I wanted to go to this one becuase my favorite companion that lives in Arizona was going to be there.



She was also my brides maide at my wedding, I love her so much. We have a lot of fun together, I love her becuase I can be myself around her and she is so much fun.
She dosen't seem to think so but she is sthe strongest person I know. She lost her first baby last December and her testimony through all of her hard times has stragthened my testimony in the gospel so much. She is a hero to me, I hope she knows that. And I am not just saying all of this becasue she probably will read this but She really is an amazing person!!! I had a lot of fun with her and her husband that weekend.

I went with her and her family to Tia-Pan. It was the first time I had been there.

They had so many christmas decorations. It was awesome!!!
